The route for the difference in height and type of terrain is suitable for expert bikers

This trail starts from the center of Camporgiano, near the Rocca Estense, follow on the left the signs for Colle Aprico where we there is a splendid view of the Apennines.

After crossing the hamlets of Vitoio and Casatico, follow dirt road called “Sentiero del Fungo” (Mushroom trail) that leads to the village of Roggio, perched around the Church of San Bartolomeo.

From here continue on the dirt road, passing to Casa Tontorone up to the Giovetto intersection, from where with a detour of about 2 km it is possible to reach Campocatino, an ancient mountain pasture nestled at the foot of Monte Roccandagia. From Campocatino ride back to the Giovetto and then descend towards Vagli Sotto.

From the historic center cross the pedestrian bridge (Ponte Morandi), then turn left along the dirt road to the suspended rope bridge that crosses the lake (€ 2 entrance) and arrive to the locality Il Bivio.

From here, follow the asphalted road along the lake and reach the dam, cross it with your bike on your shoulder. From the locality of Vergaia, the road descends quickly to rejoin the provincial road, follow it for a short distance to the intersection for the locality of Isola.

From Isola, after a small bridge, take a small road on the left which, after an uphill stretch with a considerable slope, arrives to Roccalberti and back to Camporgiano.
